Professor at Universidad EAFIT, Medellín-Colombia. She has taught Spanish language, culture and literature in the Literature programs of the University of Pittsburgh and the University of Memphis respectively. Doctor in Hispanic Languages and Literatures with an emphasis on Cultural Studies from the University of Pittsburgh (2014) and Master's Degree in Social Psychology from the Metropolitan Autonomous University of Mexico City (2006). Her academic and research interests include themes of national narrative formation from a sociocultural perspective, as well as the interpretive work of contemporary Colombian novels from axes of analysis such as delusion, bond, trauma, orthopedics, among others. More recently, she has focused on the problem of contemporaneity in Spanish literature, the historical memory novel and its intersection with minor artistic representations. Among her publications is the co-edition of Evelio Rosero y los ciclos de la creación literaria (2017).
