El samurai Rafael Reyes-Ruiz

Rubén Varona is a visiting professor at the University of Miami, Ohio. He received his doctorate in Hispanic literature from the University of Texas Tech and his master's degree in literary creation from the University of Texas, in El Paso. His academic work explores the intersection between literature and justice, especially the way in which contemporary fiction combines criminal and historical themes in a hybrid fashion. His creative work is interested in portraying social conflicts through the moral dilemmas of his characters.
