Abstract

Based on her own experience and the consultation of theoretical references, the author presents an analysis and reflection on the process of building the motherhood of transgender women, starting from the need to mention their existence. For this, she starts by focusing on physiological aspects related to the possibility that trans women can breastfeed and in the future, procreate life in their own uterus. She addresses some aspects related to the fact that the transition not only from man to woman, but from father to mother, faces the ignorance and hatred of health and educational actors, who see their motherhood as a danger for their children. Finally, she reflects on the celebration of Mother's Day around her personal experience as part of the constant denial of her maternal role in the face of a society that only conceives of uterocentric motherhood and is unaware of the other forms that exist of be a mom.
