Abstract

Suma paz is a literary chronicle that narrates a historical event of contemporary relevance. It tells the tragic story of Elsa Alvarado and Mario Calderón, a couple united by their love for each other, their fellow human beings, and the environment. It is therefore a literary homage to the work of two Colombian environmentalists.

Hugo Moreno, Lewis & Clark College

He teaches at Lewis & Clark College and has published and edited articles on Hispanic literature and philosophy in journals and specialized books in the United States and Canada. He is also the author of the novel Donde se acaba el norte (2021) and Rethinking Philosophy with Borges, Zambrano, Paz, and Plato (Forthcoming in 2022).
