Piedad Bonnett, Writer

She is a poet, novelist and playwright. She was a university professor for three decades at the Universidad de los Andes. Among her awards are the National Poetry Prize (Colcultura, 1994), the Casa de América Prize for American Poetry (Madrid, in 2011), the José Lezama Lima of Casa de las Américas (2014), and the Poetas Mundo Latino Prize (Aguascalientes, Mexico, 2012).
