Abstract

The objective of this article is to conceptualize the transfeminist approach and its key components to ensure its proper integration into organizations, research, and social projects in Colombia. The research was conducted using field journal techniques, document review, and interviews. The following conclusions were reached: 1) cissexism manifests as practices of objectification, extractivism, self-confirmation, tokenism, subjection, and beneficence; 2) the transfeminist approach enables the identification and promotion of transformations concerning inequalities between cis and trans* individuals in intersection with other vectors of oppression; 3) the formulation of Colombia's trans* voting protocol aligns with various parameters of the transfeminist approach.
