Abstract

Review of the book La Vorágine: centenary of a Latin American classic (2024), which compiles the most relevant literary criticism on La Vorágine (1924), a novel considered a foundation stone of the literary environment in Colombia and Latin America. The critical texts cover a period of almost 40 years from 1988 to 2024, where the compilers Jennifer L. French and Felipe Martínez Pinzón were in charge of gathering texts that go through a vast theoretical panorama, including structuralism, ecocriticism, sociocriticism, among others.
